Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. The majority of her childhood listening to classical music and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs, as well classic classical music. Ana loves Tangos. Also, she loves operas, and every form of dramatic performance. Ana began learning and singing songs with her mother and commenced more serious training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara as well as in Toluca at The School of Sacred Music. She performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private occasions. Her love and passion for art, music, and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher at The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to help younger generations continue the tradition.
